Asheville Jazz Council
Founded in 2005 the mission of the non-profit Asheville Jazz Council is to advance the performance, composition and education of jazz in western North Carolina. This is primarily done through their partnership with the Asheville Jazz Orchestra.
Using the AJO as their primary ambassadors, the Asheville Jazz Council assists other organizations in bringing high quality jazz to a wider audience. Since their founding the Asheville Jazz Council has helped raise funds for Mission Children’s Hospital, Junior League of Asheville, Habitat For Humanity, and Western North Carolina AIDS Project. Additionally, the Asheville Jazz Council has helped make it possible for the AJO to clinic and perform at educational jazz festivals, including the City of the Arts Jazz Festival, Patton High School Jazz Festival and the Western Carolina University Trumpet Festival.
The Asheville Jazz Council is a 501(c)3 and donations are tax deductible. To donate to the AJC please contact us.
